Please consider donating to our libraries for hurricane relief!
Hurricane Michael hit the Panhandle on October 10, 2018, causing widespread destruction in its wake. All library staff have been accounted for but many have lost their home, car, and possessions.
The Friends of the Bay County Public Libraries will accept donations on behalf of library staff members who were affected by the hurricane.
Also, the Parker Public Library lost a large part of the roof. The city plans to repair the library but we don’t know when they might be able to reopen. The library is trying to borrow a bookmobile from a library in Ohio to provide a temporary home for that library. The bookmobile will stay parked at Parker City Hall. The Friends will also accept donations to transport the bookmobile to Florida and back.
